A recently-promoted Rebus Training colleague, Anne Edge, Business Development and Marketing Co-ordinator, had seen the work Strategi does on learning and development, and was particularly keen to work with us to gain confidence to excel in her new role.
Anne embarked on a mentorship programme run by Strategi’s founder, Wendy Dean, to benefit from mentoring based on Wendy’s previous work with women in business.
Strategi’s mentoring services initially supported Anne with the organisation’s annual company conference and awards, and specifically Anne’s role to host a company-wide presentation.
As Anne’s mentor, Wendy worked with Anne on building her confidence; her confidence to embrace public speaking. This started with discussing her fears and how to overcome them, using Wendy’s real-life examples and methods, based on building a successful career across a variety of business types and sizes, over the last 30 years.
“Good mentoring can only be delivered if the mentor has experience of what’s required. It’s different to coaching and can achieve quite quick results. My mentoring is always honest and from a good place in enabling the mentee to be more confident in their approach.”
It’s clear the mentoring services Strategi, and Wendy specifically, have delivered have had a positive impact on Anne. Anne comments,
